Eurex Agreements

Eurex offers a wide range of exchange-traded financial futures and options, commodity derivatives and over-the-counter (OTC) support services for exchange-traded derivatives and OTC services for treasury products such as bonds and pensions (rest). The range of exchange-traded products includes nine asset classes: interest rate derivatives; Stock index derivatives, equity derivatives, volatility derivatives, dividend derivatives, currency derivatives, etf derivatives, commodity derivatives and real estate derivatives. This led in March 1998 to an astonishing announcement that Eurex and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) would establish by the end of the year a link between Eurex and CBOT`s electronic platform, Project A, with the aim of creating an electronic trading platform for major benchmark derivatives in Europe and the United States. The project, however, met with opposition from the old guard of the CBOT, who saw it as a threat to the stock market prosecutor`s office. Finally, the various political groups reached a compromise, a new common a/c/e electronic trading platform (alliance/cbot/eurex), launched in August 2000. Eurex`s flagship product has been and has long been the Euro Bund futures, but the volume of EURO STOXX 50 stock index futures and stock index options often exceeds that of the Euro-Bund on a monthly basis. The exchange has expanded its product range by diversifying credit derivatives and single-stock futures (SSFs), as well as expanding its clearing of OTC instruments. Eurex-CHEF sees a lot of structural growth potential (June 2017) For more information on ordering real-time market data, see > How to order data. Media attention, however, focused on Ferscha`s dispute with CBOT management and increased competition from LIFFE, which had set up a credible electronic matching engine, LIFFE CONNECT, after its stock markets closed. In 2007, Eurex Exchange expanded its distribution network to countries in Eastern Europe, Central and South America, Asia and Africa. Soon after, the first participants from Dubai and Canada began to act at Eurex. [11] The Exchange offers dividend futures contracts on more than 80 of the largest companies in the euro area and pan-European companies. [31] Until 1998, trade in the United States and the United Kingdom was conducted in the style of open outcry.
